This guide is to help you choose a location around the Dallas-Fort Worth area for your engagement session! I have taken the time to write a little about each location and give you suggestions of what locations are close to it! DALLAS
Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden
The Dallas Arboretum is stunning all year around. During March-September I only do morning sessions at the Arboretum which will start at 9am. The Arboretum closes at 5pm so winter sessions at the Arboretum will start at either 9am or 3:30pm. The Dallas Arboretum is close to White Rock Lake, Flippen Park, and Downtown Dallas.
Downtown Dallas
Downtown Dallas is perfect for a classic and fun engagement session! There are so many unique areas to photograph all year round! Downtown is beautiful by itself or perfectly paired with the Arboretum, Flippen Park, or White Rock Lake.
Flippen Park
Flippen Park is a gorgeous neighborhood park in Highland Park. Flippen Park is close to the Dallas Arboretum, and White Rock Lake. Because of the direction the sun sets, Flippen Park photographs better in the evenings but on a cloudy day or early morning still has beautiful light for a morning session.
White Rock Lake
White Rock Lake is located in Dallas and features a gorgeous lake and natural area! The scenery is beautiful and has a dock to walk out on and lots of sail boats! White Rock Lake pairs perfectly with Flippen Park, the Dallas Arboretum, Arlington Hall, or Downtown Dallas.
Arlington Hall
Arlington Hall is located in Dallas and has gorgeous pillars and architecture! Arlington Hall is an event venue so to avoid the possibility of an event being held here I prefer to only shoot her on weekdays. My favorite pairing with Arlington Hall would be White Rock Lake or the Dallas Arboretum.
Arbor Hills Nature Preserve
Arbor Hills Nature Preserve is a stunning natural area that features a large hill, tall grassy areas, and more! This location is only 20 minutes from the Dallas locations if you take the tolls. However, I typically suggest White Rock Lake if we are short on time because the travel time is much shorter and they photograph similarly.
FORT WORTH
Downtown Fort Worth
There are so many beautiful spots in downtown Fort Worth from the Post Office to Bass Hall! You can still get the city vibes in a less busy area! Downtown pairs wonderfully with Kimbell Art Museum, or Tandy Hill Nature Preserve!
Kimbell Art Museum
Kimbell Art Museum feature stunning architecture and beautiful scenery! Kimbell Art Museum is the best of both worlds with greenery and stunning structures! Kimbell Art Museum is close to Downtown Fort Worth and Tandy Hills Nature Preserve.

The Beach at Little Elm Park
The Beach at Little Elm Park is just north of Lake Lewisville! This is a gorgeous spot if you're dreaming of glowy beach pictures! This location is not close to any of my other locations currently so until I find something else close by or if you know of anything it will be a stand alone location. The Beach at Little Elm Park is best photographed at sunset or sunrise!
Adriatica Village
Adriatica Village is a gorgeous 45 Acre Croatian inspired village in the middle of McKinney! This is a beautiful spot for an engagement session and has so many different areas for photos! Adriatica is only 20 minutes from Arbor Hills Nature Preserve if you take the tolls!
Your Venue
Last but not least, one of my favorite spots for engagement sessions is YOUR VENUE! You've already booked this gorgeous location, this guarantees no one else will be there so we won't be fighting crowds, and your venue is literally designed to be photographed! Depending on where you are getting married, you can also pair this with another location from the guide!
