There are weddings that feel timeless from the very first moment, and Alex & John’s day at The Hillside Estate was exactly that. Nestled among rolling hills and flooded with natural light, their wedding day was filled with meaningful traditions, elegant details, and the kind of joy that makes you forget time altogether.


Alex’s bridal look was one of my favorite parts of the day. For the ceremony, she wore a delicate French lace overlay (a guipure bolero style, for those who know their bridal fashion!) that floated effortlessly over her classic strapless gown. The lace added an ethereal touch for her walk down the aisle, and when she removed it later in the evening, she revealed the timeless silhouette of her gown underneath—perfect for dancing the night away at the reception.


The couple also found meaningful ways to weave their families’ legacies into their celebration. Their wedding cake was topped with the same figurines used on her parents’ cake decades ago, a sweet nod to the enduring love story that came before theirs. In another nod to tradition, Alex tucked little charms into the cake—each one attached to a ribbon. During the reception, her bridesmaids took turns pulling them out, each charm revealing a tiny fortune or blessing that Alex had lovingly matched for them. It was such a personal, joy-filled moment that had everyone smiling and tearing up at the same time.


From heartfelt family traditions to a gown that transformed with the night, Alex & John’s wedding was the perfect blend of classic elegance and personal meaning. Celebrating them at The Hillside Estate was a joy, and I know their marriage will be just as beautiful as the love-filled day they shared with their family and friends.
