CARLEE MAE PHOTOGRAPHY
Choosing a location for senior photos can be difficult because there are so many directions you can take them! Below I have highlighted my favorite locations around DFW and have written a little about each location underneath. I have also linked some of my senior sessions from those locations to give you a better view of what a senior session at that location will look like.
DALLAS
White Rock Lake
This is a great location for sunset photos and is close to the Dallas Arboretum, Flippen Park, and Highland Park, and downtown Dallas! There is a large field beside the lake with taller grass and wild flowers that bloom in the spring.

The Dallas Arboretum
The Dallas Arboretum is stunning all year around. During March-September I only do morning sessions at the Arboretum which will start at 9am. The Arboretum closes at 5pm so winter sessions at the Arboretum will start at either 9am or 3:30pm. The Dallas Arboretum is close to White Rock Lake and Highland Park Village.

Highland Park Village
Highland Park Village is a unique and fun location for senior photos featuring fun storefront backdrops. This location is close to the Dallas Arboretum and White Rock Lake. Highland Park Village is a morning only location due to heavy foot traffic in the afternoons.
Piper's Highland Park Village Senior Session
Flippen Park
Flippen Park is a gorgeous neighborhood park in Highland Park. Flippen Park is close to Highland Park Village, the Dallas Arboretum, and White Rock Lake. Because of the direction the sun sets, Flippen Park photographs better in the evenings but on a cloudy day or early morning still has beautiful light for a morning session.

Adriatica Village
Adriatica is an Italian styled village that features cobblestone walkways and a beautiful pond. Adriatica is located in McKinney, Texas and is great for sunrise or sunset although I tend to like sunset photos better in this location.
FORT WORTH
Downtown Fort Worth
Downtown Fort Worth has some beautiful architecture and is close to Tandy Hills so you can get the best of both worlds. Downtown is great for sunrise or sunset sessions, but Tandy Hills is a sunset only location.

Tandy Hills
Tandy Hills features a stunning view of downtown Fort Worth and is just minutes away from downtown Fort Worth. Tandy Hills is a sunset only location.
Kimbell Art Museum
Kimbell Art Museum is located in Fort Worth and is close to downtown Fort Worth and Tandy Hills! This location is great for sunrise and sunset photos and has beautiful architecture as well as greenery and trees!

New Light Studio
New Light Studio is located in Bedford, Texas and has a large array of props, backdrops, and more! I love this studio anytime of day and is the perfect backdrop to show off your personality! Studios are great if you are needing a midday session time and offer protection from the Texas heat, wind, and any kind of weather that is less that perfect! Please keep in mind that studios need to be booked well in advance to make sure they have the time and date available.
Rockledge Park
Rockledge Park is perfect if you're looking for a coastal vibe! Rockledge Park is located in Grapevine and is great for sunset photos. The park has a green area as well for some field-like photos.
Oliver Nature Park
Oliver Nature Park is located in Mansfield, Texas and is perfect for sunrise or sunset sessions! In the spring there are lots of wild flowers while in the fall you will see beautiful fall colors!
Stem & Light Studio
Stem & Light Studio is the best of both worlds with an indoor and outdoor space! If you're looking for a gorgeous field to take photos in, this one is stunning and will be all to yourself. Stem & Light has a green house, and offers large white walls inside the studio with some props and backdrop options. Inside the studio is perfect for anytime of day while the field and outdoor areas are perfect for sunset. Please keep in mind that studios need to be booked well in advance to make sure they have the time and date available.
